The T-Ball NDG Lions team this weekend came away with a perfect record of 4 wins and 0 losses in the T-Ball Participation Tournament held in Coteau-Du-Lac in defeating Les Aigles de St-Zotique by the narrowest of margins, 28 to 27. The NDG Lions finished the tournament as the only undefeated team. The winning run coming in the bottom of the fourth on a double hit by Samuel Thuringer to right field (last batter) allowing both Josh Clark and Ethan Boyer to score the tying and winning runs respectively.
The offensiveness prowess of Ryan Antel, Josh Clark, Christopher Palmer-Cowan and Ethan Boyer together combined to score a total of 16 runs. The Lions were also led by the stellar defensive play of Joseph Raftus who turned over two double plays at very opportune times when the opposition team was threatening to take the lead in the 3rd and 4th innings. The Lions composed of 10 players were a very determined group of players who did not let themselves be easily intimidated by the other teams. The NDG LiONS coached by Patrick Raftus, Danny Rosenfeld, Christopher Patterson and the remaining members of the NDG Lions: John Renzoni, Joshua Rosenfeld, Jayden Patterson, Darius Jackson and Shyanne Samuel were pleased to represent NDG Baseball and to have the opportunity to showcase their talent in front of an appreciative audience - their parents.
T-Ball A-Level Tournament
T-Ball Lynx Lose 16-13 to Valleyfield
The T-Ball Lynx gave it a valiant effort today in the finals in the A-Level of the T-Ball Provincial Tournament. Given the low score of the game you could tell that both sides played defence very well.
The team and coaches should be very proud that they made it to the finals. It's quite the accomplishment! Congratulations to the players and coaches of the T-Ball Lynx Team.
