The UPM45 Blue Flame pitching machine will be used and operated by a Coach of their team at bat. No player may use/load/operate the UPM45 at any time.

At the beginning of the season, and at the discretion of the Coach, a pitch (underhand or overhand on one knee) may be thrown by the Coach if the batting skill level of the player has not yet developed. During the playoff, only the UPM45 will be allowed to be used.

Each batter gets 5 good pitches. If player fails to hit one fair after 5 good pitches, then he/she uses the Tee. There are no strikeouts at bat during regular season.  In the playoffs, the player gets 1 swing on the tee and if he does not hit the ball in fair territory, batter is out.

Inning will continue until the defense gets 3-outs or the offensive team scores 4 runs, whichever comes first.

Coaches will be permitted on field to help guide the defense.

In order to stop play, an infielder needs to have his hand up. The Outfielder cannot run the ball into the infield and raise his hand; he needs to throw the ball to an infielder who can then stop play by raising hand.

A runner needs to be 75% of the way to the next base or needs to return to the previous base once the infielder with the ball raises their hand.

A player can advance ONE BASE ONLY on an error.

During the House League season, there will be NO MAXIMUM number players on the field (a maximum of 10 players during play-offs) and a minimum 8 defensive players on the field including a pitcher.

Before the pitch is made, the pitcher MUST be positioned with one foot in line with the pitching rubber and is allowed to be UP TO 6 feet of either side of the pitching rubber

The batting lineup will be followed in order. There will be no substitutions unless there is injury or an emergency. If a player arrives late, they may be added to the bottom of the lineup at the discretion of the coach.

Player rotation during the House League season must be respected. Players will be allowed to play the same position a maximum twice in a game, but with a gap of at least 2 inning (ie.1st inning and 4th inning). This rule will not apply during the playoffs.

There will be no infield fly rule applicable.

When a team is batting, 1 hitter is at the plate. No on-deck players on the field.

No throwing bats. If player throws his bat, they gets a warning. If it happens again, the player loses their next at bat. In the playoffs, if a player throws his bat, they are automatically out.

If a ground ball is hit to the pitcher, he must throw to first baseman to get the out rather than run with the ball and touch first base himself.

If a pitcher (coach) gets hit with a live ball, the play goes on.

Players are not permitted to lead off the base. Baserunners must tag up when a fly ball is caught in flight by a fielder.

No inning can start past 7:45pm
