Championship Game

NDG 6  vs Rouyn Noranda 2

Junior Lynx Coaching Staff: Carey Ashton, David Goldberg, & Jan Sauvé-Frankel

5th National Tournament in 6 Years

Starting pitcher for the NDG Lynx, Liam Wyatt, gave up two runs, on five hits, over five innings of work while striking out ten. Louis-Xaxier Labrosse pitched the last two innings to close out the game. Louis-Xavier faced six batters in two innings, struck-out two and gave up a sole base-on-ball in the seventh inning. However, catcher Alex Carmel threw out the Rouyn-Noranda base runner to squelch a possible comeback.

Offensively for the Lynx the key hit in the game came, with two out in the third inning and the Lynx up by a score of 1-0, from center fielder Victor Brunton who drove in two runs to increase the Lynx lead to 3-0. The Lynx would score another run in the fifth, and two more in the seventh to finish the game 6-2.

Other items of note. Jacob Desrosier-Meyers was 2-3 with a double and a run scored; Oliver Singson was 1-2 with a double, 2 RBI's including a sacrifice fly which scored the Lynx fifth run; Alex Lagios drove in the Lynx sixth run in the seventh inning with a rocket solid base hit; and Louis-Xavier Labrosse scored two runs.
