The last inning
will be called after 1hr 45 minutes play.
full inning of play will be open with no limit to
runs scored. Games are 6 innings in length maximum.
A half inning is complete when the defensive team
has achieved 3 outs OR when the offensive team
scores 4 runs.
When last inning is called, there is no limit to the
number of runs scored I the open inning.
Mercy Rule A game is
called, after 5 innings or, 4 ½ innings of play if
the home team
is leading, and there is a 10 run difference.
Players on Defense 10 players are allowed on
the field to play defense (4 outfielders) including
a player in the pitchers position. The player in the
pitchers position shall line up beside the pitching
rubber (right or left) and be a maximum of 6 feet
(NOTE: ONE COACH MAY BE PLACED IN THE OUTFIELD TO
Batting Line-Up A continuous
batting order. Everyone hits.
Substitutions If a team has
more than 10 players, the team may change the
players playing defense each inning without penalty.
Please note that it’s important that all players are
active to participate in the game and therefore
should not be more than 3 innings on the bench
during the game.
The At-Bat A hitter will be
called out when he either, swings and misses a 3rd
or when he has seen 5 pitches. A player who
continues to foul off the 5th
and subsequent pitches will continue his at bat
until he hits the ball in
territory, swings and misses, or does not swing at a
Stolen Bases No stolen bases
Balls that stay in front of infielders (infield)
hit ball played by the infielder –
The runner can only run to first
base unless there is a bad throw and the ball
remains in play. The runner
may advance a maximum of ONE base but at his own
risk to be put out.
Hit Balls that reach the Outfield – On the ground or in the air
A ball that goes past the infielders into the
outfield, the baserunner can continue running
until the ball is controlled by an infielder.
A runner in-between bases can make a choice to
retreat to the last base he touched or can attempt
to advance to the next base, but at his own risk to
be put out.
He cannot advance past that next base even on an
(unless the ball goes out of bounds – See Bad Throw

of play, runners advance one base.
