NDG Baseball's Sports Awards Nominees

1. OUTSTANDING ATHLETE (INDIVIDUAL SPORT) - None Nominated

An athlete who competed in a sport at an INTERNATIONAL, NATIONAL or PROVINCIAL level between Sept. 2014 and Aug. 2015

Association Winner - Judo - Antoine Valois-Fortier

2. BOROUGH ATHLETE -  PETER MANNI

An athlete who competed in an INITIATION or BEGINNERS level and has obtained results at the LOCAL level (House League)

Association Winners: Swimming - Alexandre Yazedjian  &  Soccer - Vivianne Bessette

3. UPCOMING ATHLETE - CARWIN SALCEDO REYES

An athlete who competed in a sport and has a promising future in that sport

Association Winner - Netball - Nickelia King

4. OUTSTANDING TEAM - NDG INTERMEDIATE LYNX (Winner)

A group/team which has performed at the INTERNATIONAL, NATIONAL or PROVINCIAL level

5. BOROUGH TEAM - MINOR CARDINALS

A group/team which has performed at the LOCAL level (House League)

6. OUTSTANDING TEAM  MATE (FOR A TEAM SPORT) - YURI O'CONNOR YOKOYAMA  (Winner)

An outstanding athlete, member of a team,  who participated and performed in PROVINCIAL, NATIONAL, OR  INTERNATIONAL competitions or TOURNAMENTS in 2014-2015.

7. OUTSTANDING PARTNERS (INDIVIDUAL SPORT) - None Nominated

A group of persons practicing an INDIVIDUAL SPORT which has competed and stood out in PROVINCIAL, NATIONAL, &  INTERNATIONAL Competitions (ex. Judo, Figure Skating, Gymnastics etc.)

8. OUTSTANDING COACH - INTERMEDIATE LYNX COACHING STAFF: FRANK MARTINEZ, RAFAEL ZAPATA, LIVIN VARGAS,

A coach recognized for his competence and implication in the development of athletes or teams at the INTERNATIONAL, NATIONAL or PROVINCIAL Level.

9. BOROUGH COACH - ALAIN SPITZER

Same as above but at the BEGINNER LEVEL (House League)

10. OUTSTANDING OFFICIAL - None Nominated

An official recognized for his competence in judging or refereeing (or in our case umpiring) a team at the PROVINCIAL, NATIONAL or INTERNATIONAL Level

 A person recognized for his/her volunteer contribution in the promotion and the development of amateur sports in the NDG/CDN area .

13. RECOGNITION OF SPORTSMANSHIP - DAVID SILVESTRE  (Winner)

  An athlete who portrays the true meaning of sportsmanship by encouraging teammates and always has a positive outlook win or loose.

14. SPORTS ASSOCIATION OF THE YEAR - NDG MINOR BASEBALL

A sports association who in 2013-2014 had: An increase in membership in their sport, it's athletes had good results on the competition circuit, and that the association has organized different activities (competitions, clinics, etc) in the promotion and development of their sport.

15. OUTSTANDING SPORTING EVENT - CHAMPIONSHIP DAY (JIM MCKEAN AWARD)

An important sporting event which has had an impact and an important influence for your sport your, your organization and the borough.

 16. MONTREAL GAMES DELEGATION - None Nominated

A sport delegation (individual or team sport) that participated in the 2014 Montreal Games. The winner of this category will be determined by the points accumulated during the games/ versus the maximum points possible, and the position out  of the number of boroughs that participated in the given sport.
